Welcome to AInkLab — the AI tattoo generator that turns text prompts and reference images into high-quality, personalized tattoo designs and studio-ready linework. These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain your rights and responsibilities when using AInkLab.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AInkLab ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Service.

2. Service Description

AInkLab provides AI-powered tools focused on generating and refining tattoo concepts and linework:

  • Text-to-Tattoo: Convert descriptive prompts into detailed tattoo concepts and compositions.
  • Image-to-Tattoo: Transform uploaded photos, sketches, or client references into simplified, stencil-friendly outlines.
  • Style & Placement Controls: Choose from realism, traditional, neo-traditional, minimal, tribal, and more; specify placement and scale.
  • Batch Generation (Premium): Create multiple related designs in a single workflow for concept exploration.
  • Linework Optimization: Smooth edges, balance line weight, and prepare outputs for stencil creation.

3. User License and Ownership

3.1 License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal and permitted commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

3.2 Generated Content Ownership

  • Generated Designs: You own the designs you generate, subject to any rights in source uploads you do not own.
  • Commercial Use: Paid users receive commercial usage rights to generated outputs, except where source material infringes third-party rights.
  • Attribution: No attribution to AInkLab is required, though optional credit is appreciated.
  • Source Uploads: You confirm you have rights or licenses to any images you upload for conversion.

3.3 Model & System Rights

All AI models, algorithms, UX flows, and platform infrastructure remain the exclusive property of AInkLab and/or its licensors.

4. User Obligations

4.1 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Generate illegal, hateful, exploitative, or harmful content
  • Upload infringing, trademarked, or unlicensed third-party images
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, extract model weights, or bypass usage limits
  • Automate excessive requests that degrade system performance
  • Share your account credentials with unauthorized parties

4.2 Responsibility for Content

You are responsible for prompts, uploads, and resulting outputs — including ensuring lawful use and respecting third-party rights.

5. Account, Credits, and Billing

5.1 Credit System

  • Credits are consumed per generation or refinement action
  • Purchased credits remain valid while at least one active payment method is maintained
  • Credits expire 100 days after payment method lapse or account inactivity

5.2 Subscription & Plans

  • Subscription benefits apply for one calendar month per cycle
  • Auto-renewal occurs unless cancelled prior to renewal date
  • Cancellation stops future renewals; remaining time/credits persist until expiration

5.3 Content Storage & Retention

  • Free Users: Generated designs stored up to 15 days
  • Paid Users: Stored up to 100 days; longer-term archival may be offered later
  • You are encouraged to download important designs promptly

6. Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use AInkLab to:

  • Produce illegal, abusive, or exploitative material
  • Create non-consensual intimate images, deepfakes, or impersonation designs
  • Generate spam, malware, or deceptive content
  • Harm or target minors
  • Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Platform Rights

AInkLab retains all rights in the Service, including improvements to linework extraction, prompt parsing, and style rendering systems.

7.2 Third-Party & Open Source

We use select open-source components under their respective licenses and comply with applicable terms.

8. Privacy & Data Usage

Your data (prompts, generation metadata, and upload transformations) may be used internally to improve model quality and moderation systems. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AInkLab is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages—including loss of profits, goodwill, data, or usage—even if advised of the possibility.

10. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but may perform maintenance, upgrades, or emergency patches. Temporary downtime may occur without prior notice.

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@aitattoos.org.

11.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations, abusive behavior, fraud, or security risks.

11.3 Post-Termination

Access to stored designs may cease; download assets beforehand.

12. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms. Updates will be posted on the site and/or sent via email. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the primary jurisdiction of AInkLab operations. Venue and jurisdiction lie in applicable courts where the company is registered.

15. Additional Notes

  • We do not claim rights over your original uploaded source images.
  • Moderation filters may adjust or block certain generations.
